We love when fashion meets love and vice versa, and when you add Iceland to the equation it totally adds up to pure magic. When we first saw this stunner of a wedding over at VOGUE, our jaw dropped to the floor; our hearts instantly mesmerized. That’s how it goes when fashion director of Footwear News; Mosha Lundström Halbert marries British-born Internet entrepreneur Aidan Butler. After sever years together, they decided on Iceland as the destination to celebrate their love and gather their friends and family who came from six continents to witness their New Years Eve nuptials. Mosga being partly Icelandic, surely brought our Scandinavian heritage to show, and we love that. The super talented photographer Hildur Erla, captured their celebration perfectly.

The day before the day they celebrated in a real Viking themed pre-party. We love it!

“It seems that everyone had Iceland on their bucket list,” Mosha says. “I felt a great responsibility to act as an ambassador and show them the best of the best.” – quote from VOGUE

The bride’s personal and unique bridal wear was designed by her mother. Basic from an Wolford bodysuit, with the skirt specifically cut to show off Lundström Halbert’s custom-made fawn suede Paul Andrew boots. Her mother (Linda Lundström) also designed her amazing bridal parka. Mosha was determined from the start she didn’t want a traditional bridal gown, as she never felt drawn to that kind of designs.

“Unlike Mosha, I did have images of being a bride one day. I got married at the end of July, but in my imagination when I was a little girl, it was the middle of winter, with snow falling, and I was wearing fur. You can imagine when I saw her, with the fur and then snow falling on the roof at midnight, what a huge déjà vu that was.” – quote from The Globe and Mail
