For this afternoon shoot at our Eidfjord workshop I wanted to create a kind of ‘modern art deco’ feel. I’ve spotted floral wedding skirts and dresses on the runway this past year and it was about time to bring some floral wedding dresses to Scandinavia too. I wanted to design something different, yet with a classic cathedral look. The design is handmade by my best friend and workshop partner; Tina. Always loved dresses with sleeves and these days the modern brides are looking for clean lines. That said I knew it would be perfect with the cathedral veil I picked out from the amazing SIBO Designs. The Pear Allè in Eidfjord was the perfect place to shoot this look, and the beautiful old Eidfjord church is situated a few minutes walk away. I made a simple bouquet of lilies and some greenery, with black lace ribbons, as I only wanted the flowers and bouquet to complement the floral skirt. The tablescape got a vintage art deco design with some cool plates, emerald green glasses, vintage champagne glasses and old and new golden decòr, together with white and green flowers. Orchids were chosen for their simple and elegant flowers. So happy when the old wooden table we had could be matched together with two stylish chairs from Brukt’n på Voss. Our speakers and teachers; Nina & Wes Photography captured all so beautifully this afternoon.

Hawwa Make Up gave me the perfect hair and make up for this bridal look, just the way I wanted. Beautiful updo to inspire other modern brides. The cathedral veil by SIBO Designs is just gorgeous for this kind of hair style. Always love a beautiful veil. Such a classic. Hopefully this will inspire brides to choose a more personal and modern look inspired both by fashion and classical looks, quite unique when merged together. Thank you to all the wonderful people making this workshop a true and memorable adventure!
