FROM THE BRIDE: Leading up to our wedding the advice that I really took to heart from other brides was to enjoy the day and not to worry. That day was ultimately for Jimmy and I to enjoy each other and to be surrounded by the people who have loved and supported us throughout our journey together, and that is exactly what I did. The two weeks leading up to the wedding I was extremely stressed and anxious for everything to be perfect and on the actual day I just let it all go and tried to really be present in every moment. The whole day was absolutely amazing. From the very start when I woke up in the beautiful cabin at Camp Lucy and was getting ready with my girls, joking and crafting the last of the wedding favors, to when I started situating my grandmother’s jewelry to be ready to wear, the whole process was exhilarating and lovely beyond words. I would have to say one of my most favorite moments was our First Look. We were hesitant in the beginning to have one but once I spoke with our photographers about it, I knew it was perfect for us. Before it took place my mother-in-law told me that Jimmy was starting to feel butterflies as we were nearing the ceremony and after being together for so long, hearing that made my heart flutter. The first look was perfect because we both were able to have a private moment with just the two of us and immediately felt at ease. Just being together then we knew this day was the happiest of our lives and we could not wait to celebrate. If I could give any advice to other brides it would be to surround yourself with friends and a wedding coordinator who truly care about you and give you the confidence that you are well taken care of. I was able to fully enjoy the day because I had an amazing support system and the most loving friends and family a girl could ask for.

FROM THE PHOTOGRAPHERS: Jessica and Jimmy’s romantic event was one of the loveliest weddings we photographed this Spring! The bride’s stunning dress ranks high on my all time favorites list; what a beautiful heirloom gown! For the perfect complimenting pieces, Jessica wore her grandmother’s pearls and her great-grandmother’s emerald ring as her accessories. From the bridesmaid’s dresses to the table linens, to the invitations, she carried her pale blue, navy, ivory and blush color tones throughout the event. I love that Jessica and Jimmy kept their celebration intimate, inviting only their closest family and friends – including their beloved dog, Roxy. My favorite moment of the day was Jessica and Jimmy’s emotional first look! Ian’s Chapel at Camp Lucy provided a lovely backdrop for this perfect moment. The love and friendship they posses for each other was a beautiful thing to witness, and we were honored to be there to capture the story of their day!
